What a long, strange trip it’s been.

by KTES

Our new 2000 square foot state of the art facility includes two control rooms with large live rooms and multiple ISO booths, and a lounge! Not to mention it’s right across the street from the Quincy Center T station– just minutes away from Boston.

Let us know if you’re interested in recording or instrument lessons with us by emailing info@keeptheedgestudios.com or calling 857-559-0334. Don’t forget to ask about our student rates and our Starving Artist recording package!

New Gear

by KTES

In the past two months, we’ve been fortunate to add a few new things to our inventory!

1). Grace Design 801 – 8 Channel Mic Preamp

The 801 is a fully-balanced and transformerless 2U high eight-channel preamplifier with a separate 1U half-rack PSU. The input stage uses an ultra low noise instrumentation amplifier with current feedback error correction.

SAWEET.

2). AKG K240S Headphones

For those of you who prefer AKG’s studio headphones as opposed to the Sennheiser HD280s, these are for you! Personally, I think they’re both great products, but now we have them both.

3). Hammond M3

A smaller, spinnet version of the B3. Put a 1/4″ out on this baby and we’re all set for a Leslie cabinet. Come play it in it’s new home in the piano isolation room.

Stop by and see us!

Grand Opening!

by KTES

Well, we did it. We’re open and we want to share our amazing space with you! So, to celebrate, we’re throwing a party. The format is an open house. You can bring whomever you’d like. Come see the space, listen to some music,  meet some cool people (or catch up with those you already know!), and eat our food. The awesome Peppercorns Cafe and Catering will be providing the food and Keith’s cousin Jill makes a mean cake so you don’t want to miss it!

This Sunday, from 12pm-4pm at our 1150 Hancock St location. Parking is available behind our building (at Sovereign Bank) as well as street parking. We’re also just across Hancock St from the Quincy T.

Hope to see you all there!

Patriot Ledger shares opinion on our Quincy Center studio

by KTES

Featured again today in an editorial about the redevelopment in Quincy Center. Thanks guys! Please check it out if you have a chance.

We’re lucky enough to be at the forefront of the $1.6 billion revamp of Quincy Center that will add 700,000 square feet of commercial space right downtown and revitalize the area. Thanks to the ledger for its support and to all of our folks in Boston and on the South Shore!
